Choosing The Perfect Bath – A Handy Guide

Choosing The Perfect Bath – A Handy Guide

Let’s be honest, there is nothing as relaxing as a long, steamy soak in the bath. Think luxurious lavender bubble bath, a little inflatable pillow to rest your head, and no noise but the occasional gentle trickle of hot water to keep the temperature lovely. Bliss, right?

Choosing the right bath is an important job – getting the right tub can make or break not only the look of the bathroom but also how you relax. But don’t worry, as ever we are here to help. Here’s an overview of some of the most popular types of bath for your home.

 Freestanding Baths

A freestanding bath is the must have bath if you have the room. The name gives this one away. It stands freely in your bathroom with no panels running around the sides. Generally, freestanding baths are bigger than standard baths, which is great if you like to stretch out and bathe in style!

If you want a freestanding bath but you aren’t sure if it will fit then just ask us – we can measure and plan your new bathroom for free, so there’s no harm in checking if this is the right bath for the space you have.

Now, in terms of looks, a freestanding bath is the show-stopper, the one to make all the neighbours jealous (that’s if you’d invite them into your bathroom!). It looks amazing and feels great to bathe in as the natural curves of the sides align with the contours of your body. Pure bathing bliss every time.

 Easy Access Baths

People need easy access baths for a number of reasons. It could be age, a disability, or just ease of use.

Whatever your reasons for wanting this type of bath we will help you find the perfect one for you. We’re the experts after all! It’s key to remember that easy access doesn’t mean ugly, a common misconception people have when planning a bathroom.

There’s a little door on the side of the bath which allows you to get in and out with ease. When the door is closed it’s completely watertight and when you are ready to get out the door will remain shut until the water has drained past it – making sure you don’t end up with a puddle every time you take a bath!

It’s important to remember that as our bathrooms last for years if you’re planning for the future then perhaps a bath with easy access might be a wise investment.

 Corner Baths

There is something really cosy about a corner bath. Tucked away in your corner of choice this type of bath is great for every type of household.

Bathing the kids is really easy due to the shape of the bath, or if relaxing is the name of the game then a corner bath is pure luxury. Corner baths work really well in smaller bathrooms as they don’t take up as much wall space – yet can still hold the same amount (if not more) water than a standard bath.

It’s worth noting that you can’t lie down in a corner bath – however, this all depends on how you like to bathe, in a corner bath you can be a little more upright than laid down, but we promise it’s one of the most luxurious baths you will ever have. Happy bathing!
