Top Tips For A Clean Bathroom
We all want to wake up to a clean bathroom every day. Sometimes it sounds like a chore, but there are plenty of small, quick things you can do to ensure you’re keeping your bathroom at its absolute best.
Keeping your bathroom free from clutter makes a big difference. If you’ve got a fitted cupboard or even a shelf to arrange your shampoos and body washes neatly on, you’ll find the rest of the cleaning comes along much easier. Even if you haven’t got time for a full clean, a little tidy up goes a long way.
Sometimes a little shelving rack on wheels comes in handy, as it’ll hold all your products and you can move it next to the bath while you’re having a soak to rest a well deserved cuppa on it!
Some will even hold bulky things like toilet rolls below, so you can keep them out of sight. When it comes to breaking out the clothes and bathroom cleaner, don’t go for the big guns every time. Dousing your bathroom in bleach might get it clean, but it’ll cost you a fair bit to keep buying it and you run the risk of going overboard and damaging certain surfaces.
Once a week or every 10 days is more than enough for a big clean, but in between there’s a few tricks you can try.
Mid-Deep Clean Bathroom Spruce Up
For example, why not keep a small cloth by the side of the bath? Once you’ve had a shower, give the edges of the bath and the tiles a quick wipe – you’ll be amazed at how long you can keep your space looking tip top, without resorting to a full blown afternoon of cleaning.
If you’ve got a shower door, you might want to pick up a J cloth; they’re relatively cheap, they work really well AND they stop any streaks or droplet marks from forming. Now you won’t have to shell out for bathroom sprays all the time and you can spend the extra pocket money on a treat for yourself!
On the flip side, if you prefer your old school shower curtain, give it a bit of a shake after your shower to stop it discolouring or getting mouldy. If you start to notice it smelling, pick up another one – no one wants an iffy smelling bathroom. Same goes for your bath mat; lay it over the side of the bath to let it dry between uses.
Keeping it on the floor isn’t going to help. One last golden rule. When it comes to cleaning the toilet, always keep a separate cloth in your cleaning kit; using a different coloured one is ideal. It’s much more hygienic and it means you won’t transfer germs around the room.
All these thing will only take you a minute or two, but they’ll have a much bigger result, as well as saving you a bit of elbow grease when it finally comes to cleaning day. Give them a go, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
