It’s safe to say we love a gadget here at My Beautiful Bathroom. So, imagine our excitement when we read about James Dyson’s the new Airblade™ wet and dry tap.
It’s a tap with a built-in fan to dry your hands afterwards and while it may be suited to commercial use, we see little reason why the clever device couldn’t become incorporated in gadget fans’ bathrooms at home. Maybe even hand towels will become a thing of the past in the not too distant future.
And that got us thinking. From clever taps to intelligent power showers, revamping bathrooms can mean out the gadgets are the real stars of bathroom installation. One of the most luxurious bathroom gadgets of all is surely the bathroom TV. Specifically designed for moisture rich environments, these TVs were once solely used in luxury hotels. Now their price is coming down and they are creeping into luxurious home bathrooms, too. They tend to sit within tiling work, creating a super sleek splash of indulgence.

In most cases in the past, if home owners have wanted to upgrade their shower, there was a need to mount the ugly white control box on the wall. Now though this isn’t the case and there are sleek looking shower controls that can be recessed so that they are almost concealed. They look fantastic – modern, chrome, silver or metal and no ugly plastic, resembling a 1990s caravan, in sight! Recessed controls are a beautiful way to upgrade your shower and have it in-keeping with your chosen style.
